One of the first jobs I had was as a desktop artist. I would take the client’s artwork, images and make layouts according to what the salesman had specified. In this role I would scan and retouch photos, make or manipulate vector art (maps, clip art), and layout the project.

I used Adobe Photoshop for the images, Adobe Illustrator for making maps/art and manipulating vector art, and used QuarkXpress for the layout.

I excelled in this role and went to on to add managing the software, hardware, and servers to my duties. I maintained approximately 20 desktops and 6 servers on a WAN. This included troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software issues.

I also assisted in the implementation of their online proofing site, handling client calls and performed associates training.
Large strategic accounts included Blockbusters, Popeye’s, Firestone, Domino’s, and Papa John’s.
